Space in Chess

In Chess, having adequate space for your pieces to move freely is a necessary thing. Without enough space, maneuvering is a distant dream or at least a futile play.

Space is what ensures that one individual piece does not interfere with the function of another piece. Incidentally, more space for you translates to less space for your opponent’s army.

“Space advantage facilitates ease of play.”
